December 20th, 2020 Update:
Several New Programs announced for the summer of 2021!
We're excited about bringing our 20th year of summer camp programs to Maine this summer. Not only has Maine Robotics moved it's office to the University of Southern Maine as we continue the transition, but we're offering some new and exciting programs.
Here are our great offerings:
  • LEGO Robotics program (20th year)
  • Build Your Own Computer Camp program (8th year)
  • Programming in Minecraft camp (7th year)
  • 3D Design and Printing Camps (6th year)
  • The SeaPerch underwater ROV camp and
  • The CubeSat camp
  • We're also planning on adding a health and healthcare careers camp!
November 20th, 2020 Update:
USM and Maine Robotics will be offering a wider summer camp selection

Nothing stays the same except change.
For the summer of 2021, we're looking forward to offering all the same programs we've had in past years and hoping to be back to being able to offer them in person this coming summer. But that is beyond our hands, we're just going to plan on it and hope it works out and we can do it. If it doesn't, we'll be back online or a hybrid, this summer.

May 30th Update:
Maine Robotics announces shipping option for our online camps

You can now sign up and pay for shipping options for our Build Your Own Computer Camp and our 3D Design and Printing Camp. This option is not available for the LEGO Robotics camp at this time. We are also trying to get licensing issues settled so we can run the Minecraft camp with campers using their own computers (should be okay, just dotting some I's and crossing some Ts. See the file below for more options and how to opt in for shipping options.

May 11th, 7PM Online Open House to learn about our Online Summer Camp Programs

ou are invited to a Zoom meeting to talk about what Maine Robotics will be offering this summer. As we've reported earlier, we are excited to offer our programs online this summer. While we understand this isn't everyone's first choice, it is the only way we can predictably and safely offer any program this summer. Your youth can still learn about robotics, 3D printing, building a computer, and 3D printing.

When: May 11, 2020 07:00 PM Eastern Time
Register in advance for this meeting:

Frequently Asked Questions

May 4th, 2020 UPDATE from Maine Robotics (We're Going ONLINE)

After much careful consideration and discussions with our camp leaders and our local partners around the state, Maine Robotics has made the decision to go all ONLINE this summer. I encourage everyone to check out the FAQ (frequently asked questions) pages as well as our modified camp policy. The camp curriculum will remain mostly the same and you'll see that our goal will be to provide quality programs at the same, but remote, manner that we have for decades.

We've put together a video where we talk about our decision and a little about the camps, I encourage you to check it out.

What makes Maine Robotics Camps Special?

The biggest reason is our camp leaders.  Each summer, we have teachers working to run our program around Maine, and you can watch this very short video to hear more about them:

2020 Maine Robotics Summer Camp Season

-Maine Robotics is pleased to bring our FUN and EDUCATIONAL summer programs to the state for the 19th year!  We've got camps lined up in communities all over the state of Maine!

You can get information about seeking out scholarships on the "Scholarships" button above.

Most of our camp specific information is now found on our online registration site, so go there for up-to-date locations and dates.
And of course if you have any question, give us a call at 207-866-1180 or email to: bickford@mainerobotics.org.
